Default 24hr drinking

So i woke up this morning in someone elses house. Next to the bed i slept is a subway, which apparently i bought, the filling is grated carrot :x I get up to discover that i have ****ed a weak ligament in my knee again .

Whilst i was doing the mile long walk of shame in a t-shirt (yes it was cold) i began to think to myself who ever thought of introducing 24hr licencing laws was probably not the sharpest tool in the box. It doesnt stop you from getting plastered at all, it just means you can stay plastered for a longer period of time. HOw is that supposed to be a soloution to the nations binge drinking culture. :?

Hey Stu,

I worked a bar for 6 years while going through college and university. In my experience some people tend to try to fit in as much drinking as they can before the bell goes!!

I think this is the reasoning behind the extended open hours. They think that if the pubs are open longer that the cramming in style of drinking will stop and people will become more relaxed.

Personaly I think that alcohol is way overated and it wouldent bother me if it diappeared, I'd rather get stoned to be honest (not that I do that much now anyway...too busy!)

Its too early to know if these changes are gonna have the desired effect on people, its still a novelty. That said you will always get people who wanna get wankered!

So in all, thats the thinking but I dont think it will work!

the places round ours are still serving at 4.30 in the morning on weekdays. Its not 24hr drinking but close enough, the only postive thing i can see is that you dont get the sudden huge surge of pissed up people when all the places turf people out at the same time.

If you can't get enough between 7 and 11 it's time to pack up. I wnt out last week and at 9pm I was ready for home. Where I live it's full of knobheads.
