Default Abb training

How often do you train your abbs?
I haven't done a sit up for 7 years and do nothing directly aimed at abb training although they obviously get used as a matter of course during my other exercises.
Despite all this and gaining weight well my abbs are starting to show for the first time in my life, more noticably the top couple and I have yet to finish my bulking cycle and lose water.
So I am a little curious, how often does everyone else train their abbs or do an exercise directly aimed at their abbs?

I used to but then was told by a competing BB that he never did and that as long as i did the big boys, squat, bench and deadlift then the body would be stressed enough! hope he was right...

If I'm dieting, I train abs every workout as it tightens up my mid section alot, also burns some extra calories while dieting and also trining them every workout tends to overtrain them and thus shrinking my waist a little more

Very rarely. I neglect abs quite openly. I train them about once a week, or once every 2 weeks, and you can see my ab definition really well considering i'm not cut
