Dont get me wrong i do go out but most of my time out is spent either thinking about how big am i going to get or how my next gym session will go or how ill work around my hectic schedule next tuesday and fit a particular meal in..I even compare myself to everyone around me...looking at other boys/men and comparing myself.. I get constanly slagged about my gym "hey phil shouldnt you be havin a protein right now" "lol hey protein boy" "NOt trainin now r ya" lol these comments are minor and i know they could be slabbering at a lot worse..but it is extremly annoying and makes me want to go harder in the gym and on my diet and cardio. The thing that gets me is that I AM CONSTANLY THINKIN"BODYBUILDING, BODYBUILDING, BODYBUILDING" nothing else.. Yet i feel all the pain has been worth it cause i really have transformed my body and do have way more respect for it than i ever did. Are these feelings normal ?? how do you cope with your strssfull situations regarding the gym anything you could do to give me motivation... |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Don't know if anyone is aware of a recent study into emploers and what reasons employers would or would not employ someone but 9 out of 10 in this recent survey admitted they would NOT employ someone if they were overweight and looked out of shape. In fact they went on to state that they would even go as far as employing someone with fewer qualifications if they looked healthier purely because this showed they had self disipline and would therefore be expected to be a better investment in the company rather than someone who obviously didn't care a great deal about their own appearance. I have also been guilt of this in the past. So the next time you see one of your "friends" sat with a pint piling on a few pounds week in, week out just imagine their career prospects withering away! ![]() |

Nothing wrong with thinking about gym all the time etc! But what you are thinking of is a great benefit to you and your body and at a later stage in our lives you will be like 'it was all worth it'. People know im an addict to my diet and training but they just learned to accept it yeah they have the odd joke or two but I always make a comeback. You can still have fun with your life etc... if you see a party happening go to it and dont think ahh **** next day I gotta do Chest and Biceps. You can always do it a day later and so what if you have a few drinks your still allowed to have fun (Arnie drank and smoked yet he was still top dog!) I would not compare yourself if I were you, just improve upon yourself and dont try to match yourself to others as they have different genetics so they are going to have maybe bigger and fuller biceps or a better chest. But think about it they could be looking at you and saying man I wish I had that back of his or those traps... If its always in your mind that shows your dedicated and you really care! Maybe if you had a lass on your side she can get all the crap she thinking about on to you! Peace out mate | |

I have found that you CAN still do both. I've always taken the role of somebody who is the steady-man when we all go out on the piss, i.e. i'm not the guy stripping naked and running through the streets, i still retain control of myself ! But, i think it might be good to employ some kind of system like 'gez' said - just be a kid for 1 night a week (keep your diet perfect but have a night out getting ****ed for example), this way you'll not lose motivation. Also, might be good to plan your saturdays as an off day so that it doesn't matter that your hungover and you can just sit in and eat all day (a good thing!) Anyway good luck, keep it up, remember it sets you apart from the rest. Nick ______________________ - Obsession is what lazy people call dedication - |
