Default manual labour - and bulking

iv just started a new job loading out plasterboards on a building site. its ****ing hard graft. they weight about 30kg and are huge and difficult to manoveur up and down stairs etc. iv been on the job 3 days and im aching all over, and in muscles i dont think iv even used b4! the lifting hits all of the main muscle groups and by the end of the day u feel like uv just come out of the gym!

basically, my point is that, iv had about 2months off the gym due to lack of cash (and the fact that iv been out on the piss most nites since i graduated from uni ), but i want to bulk up now and really get back into my training. the problem is that with this job being so strenuous - i dont think im going to be able to hit the gym that much! otherwise i wont be able to perform at work and earn much money ( you get paid according to how many boards you load out).

has anyone else done a job like this before? do you guys think i will be able to pack on any size just from the workout im getting at work? i definately think i will be able to get ripped by doing the job as im sweating constantly and alwayd on the go.

my plan is to keep going with the job and hope i will get more used to the work and therefore be able to fit in te gym aswel.

my diet roughly looks like this - (currently tryin to bulk)

- 7.00 - eather a huge bowl of alpen or 8 egg whites 2 yolks, 2 slices of, ham on two pieces of toast.

- 10.30 - large bowl of brown pasta, 1 tin of tuna.(with some low fat cheese and mayo) or 1 chicken breast with brown rice sweetcorn and peas.

- 1.00 - another portion of the above. (i make a huge dish of eather of the above to take to work)

- 4.00 - something easy like a micro meal ie ham and muschroom tagliatelle(low fat) of a sandwich ie 2 slices of ham some cheese on brown bread.

- 7.00 - another large meal. ie last night i made a curry which consisted on 2 turkey breasts and brown rich - plus 2 wholemeal pitta bread.

-10.00 - a snack like a bag of unsalted fresh cashew nuts.

im pretty happy with my diet. but what do you guys think. sorry about the length of this - im sure itsput a few ppl to sleep! im just keen to find out whether you guys think i will grow from the above diet and the job im currently doing plus 1 maybe 2 gym sessions per wk. cheers. ps im also starting creatine - hopefully thois will give me sum more energy at work, and im also thinking of doing my first cycle.

When I was working down the mines we used to lose 3lbs of weight a day due to the heat and the heavy steel we were carrying, we were built like brick shit houses, when the mines closed we ploughed the weight on like hell, that is when I started hitting the gym, if you do heavy work you only use certain muscles, there are muscles you'll never use in everday work, when you hit the gym you can facus on the muscles you miss at work.

I have bumped in boards before, townhouses were the most diffucult with three floors and tight winding staircases. Agreed it is hardgraft and with the correct diet you should see good improvements in your physique. Do you bump the green boards too as they are heavier.

Hardest job I ever had though was breaking up cast iron furnaces with a sledge hammer (in a basement) and then carrying the block or cast iron up two flights of stairs to chuck in a skip. I threw up doing that.

sounds like u lads have had some tough jobs aswel!! iv been doing it a week now and im definately seeing improvements in my size already - im eating like a horse too! 6 or 7 meals a day! zx9rjas - im loading out all the different types and sizes of boards. blue - soundblock are the heaviest! there a ****er to get up the stairs - especially the 2700x1200 - 15mm. loading out flats at the mo so have to go up 3 flights aswell. i also managed to hit the gym for the first time in ages this week, did an all over body workout just to get myself started and bk into theswing of things. it felt ****ing good to get bk in there and feel so much less guilt having been even 1nce. heading bk down there tomorow to blitz my shoulders so hopefully il start packing on the pounds and strenght soon. im v interested in getting sum gear too. or i may just opt for the easier option of superdrol.

Make sure you have plenty of fuel on board at all times.

i spent 15 yrs humping 50kg bags of sand and paving stones about all day. i found it =easier to train at home then as it was far quicker and easier to fit in when ye knackered. you can gain when doing hard graft and training you just need extra calories to compensate for the extra you burn
