When you sit back and think is it worth looking after yourself only to be hit with cancer, he's had to give up work, yes he was still working at 75, he used to compete a few years ago in the older age group, he always used to give you advice if your were stuck on anything, he is a true gent. ______________________ Nidge |

| Under Construction | I understand what you say, but you could aslo get hit by a bus tomorrow too. Better to be remembered as a person who died looking after themselves and in good health ______________________ http://groups.msn.com/YourBodyYourTemple |

His training partner died 15 months later when a stomach ulcer burst in his sleep and he died of internal bleeding, he was 26 and had won Jnr Mr World 3 times. On the other hand my gran is 82, used to smoke, eat rubbish and never exercised, how can you figure it out? Moral of the story is enjoy every day as if its your last and do everything you want to without waiting an eternity, you don't know how long you may have. ______________________ www.extremenutrition.co.uk - 25% OFF FOR ALL MC MEMBERS, discount code MCD25. www.betterbodies.uk.com Seriously cheap sports nutrition! | Making Progress | to have a heart attack at 45 shows he had some health problems, then to go on 30 years later to working out in a gym. You could say hes lasted so long due to training for the last 30 years. Unfortunately the end of the road comes to us all. Dont take it the wrong way Extreme but to be winning bodybuilding competitions then dying at the ages of 26 and 38 its clear to me why they died so young. If this comment is offensive then i appologise in advance. But year the news of death is always sad sorry to hear about your friend. |

You are meaning their steroid use contributed I take it? In Chris Sneddons heart attack case they said it could have played a part due to his heart being enlarged, but this is a condition almost all performance burst athletes experience (powerlifters, sprinters, strongmen, swimmers, etc) and is generally accepted when your body has to pump more blood to an engorged muscle or group of muscles quickly. I was born with a hole in my heart and have had an aortic valve replaced to rectify the problem, I was given under a year to live initially but the op went well and I'm back in the gym and using small amounts of 'roids, at my last check up the consultant told me "keep doing whatever it is you are doing, the recovery in your heart is nothing short of miraculous", then he halved my prescription medications because my heart is so much stronger than it was 4 years ago when my condition was discovered. I'm not saying roids are good for you BUT they aren't as bad as portrayed if used in moderation and with thought. ______________________ www.extremenutrition.co.uk - 25% OFF FOR ALL MC MEMBERS, discount code MCD25. www.betterbodies.uk.com Seriously cheap sports nutrition!
