Default To cut or to bulk...that is the question!

Sup guys, just joined this site and trying to sort out a couple of things to get me started...

currently i'm 6ft tall and just under 15 stone, i would say i'm naturally pretty big boned and have put on some mass from the on and off stuff i've done before , reason i say this is because 6ft and 15 stone just sounds plain overweight! . My goal is to put on more mass and just build my overall physique BUT i'm currently 20% BF and i'm lost as to whether to start off trying to lose some of this seeing as bulking would mean i'd be moving up the 20's (can't be good?)

OR

I just start on a mass gaining routine and clean diet and cut later seeing as my focus is putting on the mass?

See if you can help me out guys

Hi mate,

Being tall your best bet would be too add more mass, once that accomplished you can start and slowly cut up.

But most important thing imo is get the size first

Hi mate,

Depends on your size, bf etc.

Generally if you feel your bf is too high like 20%+ you may want to cut but if its under that i would bulk first and build the muscle and diet gentley to maintain the newly aquired muscle.
If you cut first u will look quiet small if u have not aquired a base line muscled frame

just my 2 cents

It's up to you man. If you feel unhappy with your weight at the moment, this could potentially get worse. If your size is cool with you, and being a bit bigger is no worries, then bulk up!

If however you think the extra pounds will make you feel worse about yourself, i'd say get cut, and then add the muscle.

I understand your position pretty well, i'm in my first cut ever, and i'm feeling a lot happier the further i go.

Follow ya feelings!
