Default Drinking to dehydration

We all know the importance of taking in the required amount of water every day whether you are training naturally or on gear but at what point do you drink a volume of water that then puts your body into dehydration? How does this work and why?

Steve, do you remember that programme on sky with Mike sheridan a while back where they took 3 half way there bodybuilders and trained them up to comp. level? They used this method to dehydrate but I haven't heard of it anywhere!

Dehydration is very important for Comp prep, and water intake is a v important factor in this (as I found out)

As the contest approaches water intake is increases and I was drinking about 6-8 litres a day, which forces your body to want to pee all the time to get rid of it.

My comp was on sat afternoon so I had my last drink on fri morning, my body has been taught to get rid of water so even though I drank nothing I still peed for britian.

Only prop with this is now I have started taking in water my body is storing it as it doesn't know when its gettting its next drink
