I can't Imagine a bloke being that big and only 8% BF, a bloke walked into my gym once he was 6ft 2in and 280 at about the same BF and he was ****in HUGE! so how wide is Ronnie! I mean hes 3in shorter and 40lbs heavier at the same BF!!!, At Olympia last year he was 295lbs comp weight and allegedly 2% BF! all this on a 5ft 11in frame, Its no wonder he wins every year in the day and age of Bulk I can't imagine a guy bulkier than that! I've also read an article written by a pro who says that in his opinion if Dorien hadn't have retired Ronnie would never have won Mr Olympia as Dorien would have no doubt kept up with Ronnie size wise and had better symertry, any thoughts on this? I agree that Dorien had better symertry than Ronnie but does anyone think that we would have seen a 295lb Dorien on stage? |

The sheer size of these guys is unbelievable! I have met some big guys at various gyms, but you can't envisage what guys like Ronnie in peak condition would look like in 'the flesh'! Incidentally, I met Dorian a couple of weeks ago, he has opened a new gym in Lichfield where I work, and I tend to pop in on my lunch break to do a bit of CV. Obviously, he is nowhere near the size he was when he was competing, but he's still a big guy! Not bad looking I must say also! Thinks he's gods gift though, but then again, why shouldn't he! ______________________ Oh yes.........it WILL be mine! |

Aparently Ernie Taylor trains there as well as quite a few up and comers on the british BB scene, would love to train there just once, so as I could say I'd been there. But its about 50 miles from where I live so a bit of a trek down the M6 just for a workout. Maybe one day..... |

Its not a patch on the original Temple in Birmingham, but its got some decent equipment and is very much a 'spit and sawdust' place, which I love. To be honest though, I've only trained there once on an evening, and as a female it wasn't too pleasant! I don't really get intimidated at gyms, but I was the only woman there, some really big guys there, and obviously as the only female I attracted some attention that I really wasn't after from proper meatheads! Shame cus I love the atmosphere of old skool gyms, everyones there to train hard and heavy, no 'pretty' posers! ______________________ Oh yes.........it WILL be mine! |

I do know a bloke who has seen Ronnie train a few times (hes from Houston) and he says that it may not be 8% but hes never seen Ronnie over 11% BF in his opinion, He told me he saw him at an airport once and said hello and got his autograph and he reckons you could see veins popping through his sweatshirt. Lichfield is probably closer and easier to get to for me than Birmingham so I may go on a hunt for the place have you got an address Gail? | |

Its right behind Morrisons supermarket. Now its not a big place by any means, its nothing like the one in Birmingham, so don't expect too much, its just a basic old skool gym ______________________ Oh yes.........it WILL be mine! |

It is the most motivating gym video i've ever watched, way surpasses ronnies or jays. they scream at eachother so mentally, there is no banter they just take it ****ing seriously and its in black and white and the place just looks like this tiny little room but its spit and sawdust all over. in a word, awesome. nick ______________________ - Obsession is what lazy people call dedication - |
