Default 2005 Arnold Classic 30MIN vid feat 977LBS HUMMER DEADLIFT

I dont know if this has been posted in full (I have seen the odd 5 min crappy 'amateur video of a segmnt of the show taken by someone in the audience' etc) but not this professional, high ress version

Either way Im sure it will be welcome again

This is a great 30 MIN video of the Arnold Strongman show, its shows the appollon axle event and the hummer deadlift events in full, complete with Glenn Ross' world record deadlift of 977lbs

Here is the link to the forum and video:

Its the official record for that event

Its not some cowboy event mate, its the biggest strongman show on the planet

The Humvee deadlift is really a silver dollar type deadlift and is recognised as legit

There are many that think Glen will go for the full range deadlift record sometime too

Glen is a good power lifter but Worlds strongest man requires the person to be an all rounder and Glen struggles with the more aerobic events.

He used to win British and then get knocked out in the first heat at Worlds.

He still great at deadlift and pure power events I'm sure if he dropped some weight he could be back up there as Britains strongest man again.

Er no its not, when you have the likes of Sven Karlsen, Zydrunas Savakis, Glenn Ross and Mark Phillipi all saying the Arnold Strongman is THE premier show...the MOST IMPORTANT show to them then that is the end of the matter, no debate needed

NOBODY in the world of strongman (competitors and fans) believes the WSM show to be the better show, everybody was waiting with baited breath for the Arnold yet NO-ONE gave two shits for the WSM last year (which BTW Pudz lost)

ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH??

HE JUST CAME THIRD IN THE ARNOLD STRONG MAN AT HIS FIRST ATTEMPT WHICH EASILY MAKES HIM BRITAINS STRONGEST

Do you know what the Arnold is?, it is THE BIGGEST STRONGMAN SHOW ON EARTH

Oh and incase you didnt know, Pudz has never done anything in the Arnold of note, why? because it is a heavy 'proper' strongman show which see's Pudz getting his ass kicked by the same guys whom he could only beat in lighter shows

To be honest with you, you actually have the answer but dont realise it, your statement about 'Glen getting knocked out in the WSM' is in the right area BUT you have missed the point

The reason Glenn does well in the BIGGEST STRONGMAN SHOW ON EARTH is because there is no crap 'bias' towards lighter events as there was with the Worlds Strongest Man comp put on by TWI, a competiton that is thought of as a joke and has been for about 8 years, that is all there is to it, the Arnold is heaviest (hey its a STRONGEST MAN comp, go figure) the WSM wasnt

If you want to hold a 'strength endurance' show then fine BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT WE ARE DISCUSSING

See? words mean things: 'strongest' means one thing 'strength endurance' means another, simple

Glen Ross is easily Britains strongest man, if you disagree Id LOVE to hear whom you think is?, go on I dare you to say Oly Thompson of whom is the number one ranked strongman in the UK according to the fools whom used to be responsible for the Britains/Worlds strongest man shows (IFSA)

With Glenn Ross and Andy Bolton we have in the UK two of the strongest (read top 5) guys on the planet which is (whatever you preference) a fact which has to be good eh?

I was actually talking about the Britains Strongest man event rather than the Strongest man in Britain....

So there was really no need for that little outburst was there?

And as you pointed out its a strength endurance event which is why I first posted that he struggles in the more AEROBIC events.

I'm a big fan of both Glenn and Andy Bolton and I actually agree with what you said as I measure strenght by what a guy lifts not how far he can run with it.

Fact is I was answering Joes post about him not winning the MET RX World's strongest and not having won the MET RX Britains Strongest recently.

If you had read my post properly instead of trying to make me out to be in idiot you would have realised that....
