help please!!!

hey everyone. I am having some trouble. i have the task of raising 3 grand by 2005 summer and was wondering if anyone had any fundraising ideas or knew of anyone who would be interested if i submitted a letter to them like the one below. thanks guys , i know you'll be able to help.

My name is Rishi Baveja. I am 16 years old and I attend school in Yorkshire.I currently play chess and badminton for Yorkshire. I enjoy numerous sports, activities, music and books. I also enjoy helping people. I have been presented with a fantastic opportunity to go to Costa Rica in 2005 for a world team challenge.

The world challenge takes place in Costa Rica in the summer of 2005 and lasts one month. During my stay I will be volunteering my time and helping the local people, and engage in activities such as helping paint a school and basic teaching. Also hope to spend some time doing an environmental project. I hope to widen my cultural horizons and give something back to the world that has done so much for me. I will be learning planning and logistical skills. I will be in a group of about 12 and so will also learn a lot about teamwork and leadership. The journey will be planned by us and we will use a combination of public transport and walking to move through the country. I hope to discover my persona limitations and push myself as far as I can. I hope to undertake a trek up Cerro Chirripo which is the highest peak in Costa Rica. I hope to mature as a person which will aid me in the walks of life.

I have the task of raising 3000 which is, of course a lot of money. I was hoping you would be kind enough to help me achieve this task through either cash or material donations in order to allow me to take part on the expedition. I know that you will of course want something in return for your generosity. I will ensure that your company is mentioned in the local press, I can have your logo attached to my T-shirt and other Costa Rica gear which will be used not only on expedition but also during other events I am doing such as sponsored runs. I will also make sure you are mentioned (or give any messages, promotional items you want to distribute) at all of the large functions I am organising which include an auction and a disco 70s night (and I can have your name on any raffle tickets) which should draw in large crowds. I will also provide free advertising (if you want it) on my website (and future websites which should be done by summer) which is www.rishman.com.

Im in the same boat as you and need in excess of 400 to fund my trip to Oz for 6 weeks. Im not currently working and I need the money in two weeks.

Unless Ch4 come up with any ideas Im not able to go, there isnt any way round it apart from mugging a millionaire...
