Default Alcohol

How detrimental will going out drinking on the weekend be to my training? I eat clean during the week and the day after drinking. I also drink a fruit smoothie with protein powder and take a multi vitamin tablet and anti-oxidant tablet before going to bed. I usually drink about 8-10 vodka and diet cokes when i'm out and do this maybe 2 times a month? I am 13st and about 20% bodyfat. I will do an hour of steady cardio at low intensity the day after.

Nothing wrong with having a normal life on top of the hectic training.

Make it diet coke.

If your going to do cardio the day after, before bed whilst on the lash make sure you drink 2 pints of water + add in some whey powder too, so your not utterly dehydrated upon wakening. Then do you cardio!

must admit weve had a small break away in the lakes i had a few pints a night then guiness last 2 nights
hasn't done any harm and got pb on bench
yrs ago when powerlifting i still managed my lifts even after the odd 5 pint night out but now tend not to drink as i find peoples attitudes have changed also to non drinkers and i find it easier to make progress

I too enjoy a vodka & diet coke but I really am trying to cut it down. the only thing I find is that after a few drinks, the next day I find im too tired to go to the gym. I don't get slaughtered by any means but I think if your gonna have a few drinks then make it on a night when your resting the next day. Although keeping your diet clean will help alot, so you can enjoy the odd tipple.

I dont really train weights the day after having a mashup.

I keep all my training monday-friday... so that I have friday and saturday night to have myself a good time.
