BAD...me...I've managed to fit in what I refer to as 6 meals...but after I added up the total calories for the day I didn't even hit what is recommended for a normal person...My appetite is relatively good right now and I think my protein intake is ok...I have no idea about Carbs or what I should be doing with them...so I'm asking if you could take a moment to look in my journal and give suggestion as to what I can add to increase my overall calorie intake. I' guess I'm looking for food high in calories that I could add and where I would add them. Not currently taking supps for reasons of low fundage...My food bill has doubled since I started two weeks ago...Any and all suggestion appreiciated. Thanks Cella ______________________ The little men who live behind my eyes and scream directly at my brain told me to tell you hello. The only thing more expensive than education is ignorance. Be it Macaroni Cheese, Chicken&Rice&Peas, or Baked Potatos, heck or even dirty Pizza. You need to find something to ramp up your metabolism. Something. Anything. Note: The above will cause fat storage... But at the end of the day you can diet the fat off. |

I thought you'd all rather join Al-Qaeda! Your last meal post in your journal i thought was quite good Cell but then i said that from a cutting point of view.Lots of protein, vitually no carbs though. That might come back to bite you on the ass later on.Im only into week 1 of a moderately low carb diet and i already feel like Eddie Munster! I hate to say it but you need some nuts son! ![]() Healthy But High Calorie ______________________ "Practice puts brains in your muscles" | |

What range of carbs should I be targeting ? And what foods might be a good sources ? Sorry in asking for the help but this is where I completely fail...I know I could find the answers myself but it only seems to make sense when you guys put it into perspective...Tried reppin ya's but I need to spread the love...and no where to spread it with out spreading foolishly...I'm thinking I could add bread to almost every meal does that sound like I would be in the right ? Tall I know you said just eat and I understand what your saying but I'm afraid that if I don't keep some kind of structure my mind will melt... ______________________ The little men who live behind my eyes and scream directly at my brain told me to tell you hello. Stuff I find tasty which is inexpensive and high calorie; Tuna Pasta bake, basically what it says with white lasagne sauce and onions. Shepards pie - use lean mince Lasagne - normally add loads of lean mince - try turkey mince for a change Turkey mince rice and peas Liver and onions cooked in the slow cooker with a load of mash is very tasty and low cost Not many eat them but baked beans with wholemeal toast and cheese have a good amino profile, plenty of carbs and is tasty crack an egg into the beans too while theyre cooking and you have a very nice tasty mess I'm with Gazz; except the last 21 days I usually have 100 gram of oats and water each morning - whack some rasins and cinamon in there and its very tasty a couple of scoops of protein powder and you have a reasonable meal. ALso high in soluble fibre. boiled eggs and whole meal toast - eat the whole egg its amazing how much I can get down my neck. Another fav for me on high calorie days is dried fruit and nuts a 200gram bag can be 900 calories. ______________________ Better a Lion for a single day than a Mouse for a thousand years.
