I drink gin and soda, its about 56cals. Thats 1/4 the cal content of a beer, roughly.
Soda tastes like crud but squeeze of lime sorts that out.
Gotta have it in a tall glass tho to make it last, coz like you splinter i can (and would!) drink for England!!

A fella in a bar told me that Vodka and diet coke or champagne are the least 'fattening' tipples.

Exclamation Re: Alcohol and avoiding the gut

This is coming from a bloke who has in the past done regularly half a bottle of spirits per night or a couple of bottles of red and could get up for work no problem next day. I started drinking spirits to avoid the beer gut too when I was young… And I’ve always had the view work hard play hard I tend to kick the arse out of anything I do.

If anyone has read my journal they know I have a serious penchant for Rum and coke and Jack and coke but it aint good news and I keep away from it other than Holidays and Christmas and maybe Pentirch and the Bulldog…

If you are taking any AAS you would be very ill advised to drink at all, a very good friend died from liver cancer brought on by this, he was big, strong as an ox always had abs and died at 42. Might sound ancient at 20 but it soon comes up…

When you are full of alcohol your body will be trying to get rid of the toxins, you won’t burn carbs for fuel they will layer down as fat. You can’t get properly ripped and have more than a glass of dry white very occasionally.

For the same reason you won’t layer muscle down as much as you would without the drinking

Alcohol and weed increase estrogens – not what any of us want

You can’t train properly with a hangover.

Tall gave the best advice if you can’t face going out without a glass in your hand cut back on consumption – have two cokes to every voddy and coke etc. But at least alcohol isn’t pills or smoke which will really fcuk you up.

You’re young you’ll take no notice and you’ll think I’m an old fart but bodybuilding and alcohol or any other recreational drug doesn’t mix.

I recently quit drinking ( beer ) I was at about 18 a day for quite some time. My liver has stopped screaming at me in the middle of the night so that's a good thing. I'm slowly but surely starting to get my appetite back. That's alot of liquid no matter how you look at it ...P.S. It's been 9 months without alcohol. And I'm lovin it. You could talk about all the negatives for hours.

Im well aware as well are of the negative side effects, and myself have had lost family due to alcohol. Even one of my mates is getting renal failure issues at the age 19.

Pills are are bit overrated on the damage they do though, way more people die from booze. Im not condoning it, but taking 5-htp after dropping before bed will help prevent the come down and taking milk thistle will help with liver detoxification.

I guess its just a case of being sensible if anything.

Good stuff on the no drinking cellaratt!

Same as me mate. Also 'clear' spirits have far less impurities so give you less chance of getting a bad hangover. I find that the biggest problem with drinking is that it wipes you out for the next day..

I was told my a chap i work with.

Drinks like whisky and rum have impurities because they are dark in colour.

Clear spirits like Vodka, Gin, Barcadi etc... are better.
