| Join Date: Dec 2007 Posts: 5 Rep Power: ![]() | hey. i am after a bit of advice. i am normally 14stone in weight however i have put on quite alot where i havent been to the gym due to not having enough time to go. i have a shoulder injury at the moment and have been told by my doctor that i am not to do anything that will put strain on my upper girdle. could you help me to know what i need to do to lose the fat without losing the muscle i worked hard to get. i am now 17 stone. |

| Join Date: Dec 2007 Posts: 5 Rep Power: ![]() | that is pretty much what ive started. however is there anything i can do or use to stop myself going catabolic? also spped up the process of fat loss. i do speed interval running. fast paced walking. and use the cross trainer and cycle. also is there an equation where i can work out what of my body is fat and what is muscle. | Banned Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Staffordshire Posts: 891 Rep Power: ![]() | As long as you try to reduce your fat levels slowly then there should be minimum muscle loss. You may want to continue with your existing cardio as this is a good way to reduce fat with minimum muscle loss, and also possible take a look at your diet. If you can post up a typical days eating, im sure one of the more experianced guy's on here can advice as to best way forward regarsd your diet. Cardio wise your spot on mate./ |
