No problem, as long as you're keeping within your cutting macros.

^^^ agreed. Just don't go crazy.

Fats and Protein I can have at bed time. Carbs I keep low in the evening generally.

As ever spacing out your fats and protein over the course of the day seems to be the best plan. Carbs you can play with more - bracket a workout, just in the morning if you like etc.

Hi Lads

And cheers for the input, just bought 500ml of Udos choice from Holland and Barrett oneof the few decent things they stock lol only £16.99 per bottle Will start using 15ml per day spaced out on low carb days to see if makes cutting easier, trying to hold and sit at 6% is no mean feat let me tell u. Ive decided that i will have every 3rd day as a refeed day but not going over the top with carbs say 200g tops and eating mainly oats. Its very exciting forme as over the past year ive become more in touch with my body and make improvements with little changes. It is a learning game thats for sure,

all the best and thanks again lads

Udo's appears good as it has "the perfect balance" etc. What you need to remember is that in a western diet, we consume primarily omega 6 fatty acids. IMO you are best to supplement with a high quality omega 3 oil. My personal recommendation would be:

St Clements Cod Liver Oil Liquid

It's a lot cheaper than Udo's too. If on top of this you try to consume primarily monounsaturated fats (olive oil, avocados), you're likely to see some benefits. Fish oil has the added benefit of being a ppar-alpha agonist - in english this means it will help keep you a touch leaner.

the way i look at it.. each meal should be made up of protein/carbs/fats regardless of when you eat it... if thats what your body needs then let it have it..

out of interest does anyone know if theres any research on how EFAs may or may not affect sleep?

They can do in some people, but won't make an impact on others.

I somewhat agree with you - i.e. its no evil to eat carbs in the evening etc, however we are subject to a circadian rhythm. There are times of the day when cortisol is higher, insulin sensitivity is lower, etc, we must try to time our nutrients appropriately to this.

Not seen any research, but In Dr Udo Erasmus' book " Fats that heal..." he does caution people about consuming fats close to bed time as the prolonged energy source provided by fats can keep some people awake.
It does with me, I just have miscellar caseine before bed.

He also said it can help some people to sleep?
