I like put ground turkey cooked in taco seasoning over a bed of letuce with some other chopped veggies. You might still need a little oil with it still but it makes a good salad with plenty of protein. Then I pack a couple peices of wheat bred to add some carbs.
The other is to mix a couple cans of tuna with a can of cream of mushroom soup, a one pound bag of mixed veggies(corn, peas and carrots) and some cooked pasta. I like it cooked or uncooked, cold or hot. The soup makes it a little high in fat but not that bad. |

My second meal at work is normally oats in a shaker cup then just add protein powder to it,then cold chicken with rice with a sauce of your choice then 3rd is normally two tins of tuna mashed up with sweet potatoes, just mash it all up and it doesnt taste that bad mate honest, try it,put in a cooler bag with ice blocks so it stays cool.

well mince meat on its own might not be tasty but try to make meatballs or burgers with the mince meat and then it should be ok when cold, I do that and I kinda like it. Other food you can eat cold is raosted chicken with potatoes (make sure whatever you cook you add some nice spicies as they give the flavour)!

Cheap and cheerful way to go is whole roast chickens. So easy to cook, cheap, and loads of good quality meat. That with pasta is good. Chuck some green pesto on the pasta for flavour. Potato salad with low fat mayo could be ok i guess. You could make egg fried rice easily and we all love cold chinese. Mix a can of tuna with an egg, chopped onion, herbs and some cornflour to get some really nice tuna frittas (they are nice cold). I just have chicken breast, pasta and veg for all my meals hot or cold no matter to me. Hope this helped.

I have eaten cold mince for years - I cook it up on a sunday night in a pan with some sweet paprika, mixed herbs, garlic and salt, add cooked brown rice and then a cup or so of water, reduce and you end up with a rissotto type meal (close your eyes and imagine). You can add vege to this if you need to and it tastes good either hot or cold - I often get comments in the office on how good my diet food smells
![]() Also agree with Tassos, meatballs are easy, you can make them with rice included for carbs, as some tabasco or herbs - weigh them up then bake in the oven or grill. You can even eat them with your fingers if you cant be arsed to get up and grab a knife/fork from the kitchen. |

Curried tuna (dry) !!!! I know it sounds wierd but its lush and everyone who iv given it to cant believe its actually tuna.. and its simple to make.
Chop an onion, some garlic and ginger and sautee in a frying pan until the onions go translucent (5 mins or so), add 1/2 tspn tumeric powder, 3/4 - 1 tspn chilli powder (depending on how chilli u want it) and 1 - 2 tspn of madras curry powder. Stir for a minute or so, add 1 - 2 tspn tomato puree and let it cook, stirring occasionally until all the ingredients are mixed well... just for a few minutes... and lastly add a can of tuna... and simply mix the tuna in to combine... garnish with fresh coriander leaves and thats it... i usually have it with brown rice/quinoa or in pitta bread with salad leaves. It takes about 15 mins to make max, and u can have it cold or warm... can make a sandwich out of it too. Ingredients 1 can tuna 1 onion Few cloves of garlic A piece of ginger Turmeric powder Chilli powder Madras curry powder Tomato puree Fresh coriander leaves Im a bit crap with amounts, Delia Smith would not be impressed I know... but as with all curries/spicy food... you dont have to be specific with amounts and can add more of what you like and less of what u dont... u can substitute spices as well. Hope u like it ![]() |
