Smile Eating after training?

Hey Guys,

After training which normally finishes for me at 7:30pm, ill have a PWO shake (whey protein, started adding creatine and dextrose as well)

but how long after should i eat?

Ive always eaten an hour after the shake!

Thats fine right or should it be tweaked?

I concur.

Sometimes I eat a little sooner, sometimes a little later, but I tend to give my body about 30mins to recover after training before putting any food / shakes in there.

I think it depends on the individual. My rule is if you're hungry eat. It's not uncommon for me to put down 2000 calories within an hour of my weight training.

30mins? I'd rather not throw it back up mainly (I don't time it by the way, thats just roughly the time it takes me to get home, say hi to the wife, get showered and changed and get into the kitchen to make it)

I know theres loads of stuff on the web about the importance of Post Workout Meals and the window of opportunity etc - I don't know how much of it to beleive...

Odds are its different in everyone

Plus my feeling is that people put too much emphasis on Post Workout and not enough concentration into all their other meals...

As ever all just my opinion, some may agree some wil disagree

th+s is right. Your meal plan has to be an all day event not just post workout. I fell into this slump and thought I had the perfect diet until i found a way to add an extra 2000 calories a day. now I'm growing again and it had nothing to do with my pre or post work out meal
