I am considering goin on it for a week but have some questions: 1. Im currently on 200g+ protien a day....would i match this with fats or lower it? 2. Would the 50g of carbs per day be all in one meal, or spread across the day (ie. counting the small amount of carbs in sausages etc)? 3. Should you maintain cardio during this time, if so, how much and what type? 4. do you loose lifting energy/strength in the gym? (big issue) 5. I know this is a bit of a hard q to answer and is a bit grey, but how much fat on average would be lossed over a week? |

1. Fat should make up 50 % of daily calories 2. spread the carbs out evenly as possible (should really come from fibrous veg) 3. From what i read cardio isnt neccessary for most to start, but yeah add in low intensity cardio if u feel the need. 4. Yes you do!! simple answer lol 5. i have seen guys around the boards clain to loose as much as 7 lbs a week, but i think 2 lbs of fat loss is more realistic. All IMO ONLY!! Timed carb diets or carb cycling are favoured by most over keto diets. ______________________ Opinions are like as*holes.......Everybody has one | |

Obviously a low carb, low fat, high protien diet just doesnt work. I have tried this for the past 2 weeks due to poor understanding and have shread nearly all muscle and virtually zero fat. Is the alternative answer to eat the old high carb, high protien and moderate fat (45,40,15) and just do HIIT cardio mixed low intesity fat burning cardio? Even on a moderate cab, high protien diet i have struggled to keep muscle and have not lossed any fat. Last edited by BARKER!; 07-08-2007 at 06:08 AM. |

You can get really bad mood swings, but only if you have too many carbs. The diet I follow consists of the following: Eggs - Whole Cream Macadamia nuts Whey protein (with water) Red Meat You have to be super-strict with your eating, I weigh 97kg and I would normally have 400g of meat per day, 3 eggs, 60g Macadamias, 6 scoops of whey and 4 table spoons of cream (usually mixed into an espresso). Your breath will stink though you will have good energy levels - high intensity, multi reps are out but you should see the fat melt off. You will also need to supplement with L-Carnitine and a good fatburner. PM if you need anything else |
