Drawbacks - in theory it can sit in your gut for a while, its higher in fat than chicken (impact of that depends on your diet...)

Positives - it tastes great, its cheaper than chicken (for mince anyway).

I have it when I can... I've been known to eat about 1.5kg of mince (plus green beans and brocolli) from time to time over 6 meals... But I am madder than a sack of badgers.

what do you guys have with your steak? I normally have mashed potatoes but through the week i'm just can't be bothered pealing and cutting potatoes after work. I'm on a bulking diet so need carbs and protein. Do you reckon that smash is any good? or any other suggestions.

Why don't you just bake about 10 potatoes & keep them in your fridge for 3-4 days, & just reheat what you need...

Also, there's nothing wrong about red meat being higher in fat than chicken: depends of the overall diet(you need a bit of fat!).

It also depends upon the cut of meat you use whether its fillet, sirloin, flank, topside, etc.

I'm (kind of) eating it every day at the moment. Although only in small amounts. Red meat is good if you cut off the excess fat, as it contains many of your essential minerals, like zinc and Iron, which have positive effects for health for both men and women.
