Default Palatinose

I'm looking to up my carb intake and came across this at myprotein
Palatinose - Carbohydrates | myprotein.co.uk

...it's a low-GI carb derived from sugar. Sounds pretty good, has anybody tried this?

Allo mate

Hows your plateau breaking going...?

I've not tried it to be honest - if you get some let us know how you get on.

I'm on Oats - Ultra fine scottish oats - Carbohydrates | myprotein.co.uk - as they contain Fat, Protein and Carbs as well as Fibre

Some of the competition lads are on Vitargo or Waxy Maize Starch.

Hello mate,

Saw the ground oats at myprotein, getting a bit tired of eating oats to be honest was looking for something a bit different.

Still plateauing, but hoping that upping my food intake and changing the gym regime as you suggested, will start to show some results in the coming weeks.

My strength is still improving, although at a reduced rate. But I cannot seem to pack any more weight on.

I understand that the gains I made previously were n00bie gains, and I expected for the rate of gain to slow. But as far as I can see its stopped altogether..

bench - 6 x 55kg DB's (tend to stay away from barbell as prefer DB's but max on Barbell is 4 x 120kgs)

deads - 160kg

squat - 130kg

weight: 190lbs ..dont really have target weight, just want to keep on going!

Cal, why do you suggest just sticking with squats and deads?

Have a look at your numbers mate...

Your squats should be better than your bench as its a bigger muscle.

Thats prob the reason why you have hit a plateau.

Squats and Deads are the most anabolic of all the exercises as they hit about 70% of all the muscle fibres in the body.

190lbs...? Thats about 13st and a half stone... How tall are you mate...? About 5ft 8?

If thats the case you've got an ideal frame to work with IMHO.

Get eating and get squatting
