Default decided to alter my diet

well, have decided to change my diet a bit. basically since xmas i havent been able to eat enough food... maybe i have had a stomach bug, maybe a little overtraining, maybe my meal times were wrong etc....

so anyways, my appetite seems to be returning now so have looked at my diet and made a few changes with a couple of key points in mind.

- i have been eating 7 meals a day, at the moment, my home life is quite busy, mondays i have a free night, tuesdays 1 son plays football and im in gym, wed my other son plays football, thurs both my kids go to a kids gym session and i have half day at work and i train, friday i train and i normally have a 2 hour drive to take my son to his mams for weekend straight after. saturdays i train but at different time of day and also have day off diet, sundays i train early and usually have busy afternoon...... with all this in mind, its quite hard to structure 7 meals into the day as my routine is always slightly different so fitting all those meals in is quite tricky. so decided to go for 6 meals to make this a little easier!

- also, with the 7 meals, im often training on a full stomach which at times can be uncomfortable.

- i want to be well placed when my show diet starts in april.. so re-evaluating things now will help!

- id like to have a slightly different diet for training an non training days.

My new diet is below.. its kind of a clean bulk... BUT if i want a treat ill have it, ill usually add on to the diet some ice cream on an evening or a couple of treats etc. just to keep the calories up and keep my taste buds happy!

*ive only calculated calories from the amounts of protein carbs and fat in each major food group. for instance.. with the protein shakes, ive only counted the calories from the actual protein. so in actuality my overall daily calories will be a little higher!

soon the maltodextrin should be swapped for vitargo or waxy maize starch.

and ill also be incorporating creatine, possibly Kre-Alkalyn from extreme as i heard they may be releasing this as a new product.

apart from supplements listed ill also be taking in:

ZMA (to aid sleep)
Multivit
B Complex
Glucosamine
Cod Liver Oil
GABA (to aid sleep - i never get enough)

Whats your reasoning behind having the same meal every meal?

its much easier to prepare that way. i cook in bulk, then just put it all in tubs.

also, having the same meal keeps things simple and easy to ensure that each meal is roughly same amount of nutrients!

its not 100% rigid.. its off season so if i want a pizza i will have one... i only get anal about it once diet time starts...main thing is that i have a plan that 80% of the time ill stick to!
