Default Chicken Protein

Roughly how many grams of protein are there in your average chicken breast? Ive never actually calculated my protein in take although Im sure its enough (four chicken breasts a day, a few tins of tuna with cottage cheese, eggs...all the usual stuff).

Is turkey as good as chicken for protein?... as there is a field full of turkeys near my house. In fact there is an ostrich farm not far from my house as well, that gives me an idea.....

turkey is just as good as chicken...

theres usually about 25-30g of protein in every 100g of raw uncooked chicken breast!

They also have about 18 aminos each i think and roughly the same profile. Think Doug is good with stuff like this so I'm sure he might know exactly.

in an average sized chicken breast there is around 30grams of protein , turkey has a slightly higher protein content and lower fat content than chicken does.

on a contest diet i normally start off on chicken then move on to turkey for the lower fat content. but if you not dieting then this difference isnt that noticible.

does the turkey farm near you smell bad

xx

It doesnt smell bad. They are hand reared and run up to you when you walk past the field. I could easily take one, but wouldnt have the heart to kill it.

Hi Lee B

Just wondering when getting ready for a show it seems better to stick to one protein source, thought by mixing sources would be a better idea for amino profile reasons?
