Also..seen numerous references to "poor quality protein source". Does this mean there's not much protein in the particualr food per 100g or that what protein there is, is not 'complete' protein i'e deficient in some amino or something ? |

Essentially it is the same carbohydrate source, but porridge oats are preferable to oatmeal. poor quality protein source is what you think - ie. it is not a complete protein. ______________________ - Obsession is what lazy people call dedication - |

| Moderator Musclechat Icon Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: west yorkshire Posts: 1,011 Rep Power: ![]() | i was tought early on to class certain foods as a carb source or a protein source. don't count the carbs in the protein sources and don't count the protein in the carb sources. oatmeal is a carb source, so in respect of my diet, it's protein content is zero. |
