Default Gravy Replacement

What's the deal with gravy? I mentioned it to coach once and he just drew his breath and shook his head.

I fancy having a good old fashioned Sunday roast tonight. I don't mind substituting the roast potatoes with parsnips and sweet potatoes but is gravy a complete no-no. If it is, any suggestions to an alternative?I find a roast so dry without.

That sounds putrid but I'll give it a go. By the way Nick, I've put your name forward for the next series of Masterchef - reckon you'll blow them away

i don't get your coach as your show is not until next year is it??
gravy is fine if you are using it once in a while and you can buy low salt gravy...

Cheers mate. A year ago my bf was 23% and I think coach has been ruthless to try and get that down

You're a hard taskmaster. I wasn't suggesting becoming a daily gravy user - just a teaspoon on my first roast dinner since June. I've blown it today anyway. My son wanted a pizza, so we've just had a large chicken supreme and garlic bread (without the gravy mind)
