Default Timing for AM Training.?

Appreciate if someone in the know could have a look at my timings for morning nutrition.

I would also like to know if it is ok to take the BSN NO Xplode and USN ZMA at these times together?....tub says 30-45min before training on an empty stomach? so I have left 45min from my first meal?

The links are just for your reference on my chosen supps..Eplode my first time I have used and ZMA.I have used before.

everyone is different.. but personally when i train in the morning i will have my breakfast meal as my last meal the night before...

this way all of the carbs are processed and ready to be used as energy the next morning... training so early chances are your breakfast wont be fully digested.... and considering your body has technically been in a "fasting" state all night.. its good to have those carbs absorbed...

i do this:

LAST MEAL NIGHT BEFORE = USUAL BREAKFAST MEAL

BREAKFAST = usual pre training meal

POST TRAINING = usual post training meal

NEXT MEAL = USUAL BREAKFAST MEAL

this for me ensures i have all nutrients and energy in my body to both complete my hard training and face the day ahead!

its fine to take the two supps together, ive never used NO explode... so cant comment too much.. i use zma every day but only before bed to increase sleep quality.. dont think its much use for anything else... pre training branch chain aminos are more beneficial!

hope this helps!

Ok thanks for all you views, this has been on my mind since I started morning training and I must say I prefer it due to being so quiet in the gym.

Know Lee.

I took on board what you said when I read your post last night.

Before bed I had my normal shake but with a little 30g oats blended as you suggested. Felt a bit uneasy about consuming carbs so late in the evening as I tend to reduce them after 6:30 so went for 30g lol.

On rising I had 500ml water, 1 tblsp P-butter and 1 scoop of elite blended at 6am.

Then my Explode and ZMA at 6.45 as usual...I did feel a little more alert this morning maybe the explode store in my body is more now I have been taking it for 5days or the lack of digestion going on? I'm not sure but felt ok TBH.

Well I was quite surprised that my energy levels were basically the same after such a small meal.

Lee the tub on the ZMA says 4 tabs 30 min before training and another 4 tabs before bed both on an empty stomach.

I have taken ZMA before, think it was biotest and that was stated before bed only....so just following the label there.

My current ones are by USN and I had a nice wet dream last night so they must be working ops: didn't tell the wife though !!

Nothing tried, nothing gained I suppose!

Nidge.

Thanks for sharing your plan mate,..looks very similar with the timing of my meals from pre to workout.

Crazy

Think I will give Lees idea ago and see how I get on.....still a bit worried about the carbs before bed.....just because I have always followed the principal of no carbs before bed.

i wouldnt worry about carbs before bed-i eat massive meals last thing-
it makes me tired so i can sleep!
on a purely personal level - i need food before i train.(i`d feel sick if i didnt)

chell... best way to get around the worry about the carbs before bed is to explain it to yourself..

1 - why no carbs before bed?

2 - why would taking carbs at say 10pm and training say 12 hours later... be any different from taking carbs at 6am and training 12 hours later??

normally i would not suggest having a high carb meal at bedtime.. BUT if teh energy is needed in the morning then you have to have the carbs inside you to train... because taking one meal of carbs in an hour or so before training will NOT give your body enough readily available fuel to train fully!

ive seen it time and time again.. and experienced it myself... almost every time someone does this (not enough food digested whilst training in mornings) it results in either the shakes during training or after the post workout meal!

looks good to me.. give it a try for a week or so and see how you respond... you could if you want take in a small amount of carbs at breakfast... and even some sugary carbs before training to give you a little extra boost if you feel you need it!

dont be afraid of the suger.. as long as its not much your body will burn it as energy!
