please anyone correct me if im wrong on anything here...

glutamine is basically an amino acid... a building block of muscle tissue... an essential requirement for building muscle.... you get glutamine from the food you eat...

with many amino acids... if your body does not get them direclty from food.. it can actually manufacture them from other nutrients within the body... glutamine is different because your body can not manufacture it.. so if it needs it then it has to use its own stores.... i.e. muscle tissue! so basically if your body needs this nutrient at any point.. if you havent eaten it then it will break up (destroy) muscle tissue to get it.

so we supplement with glutamine in order to stop this from happening... there are many suggested ways to use it... personally i use it when dieting (and sometimes whilst not dieting) and i would take 5-10g before breakfast then 10g before any cardio exercise and then 10g before training.

hope this helps!
