Basically i have a lactose intolerance, so can't put cow's milk in a weight gainer to up the calories. so here is my recipe: 1 litre of Alpro Low Fat Soya Milk 2 or 3 scoops whey 200 grams instantised oats heaped tablespoonful of natural peanut butter 3 tea spoonfuls drinking chocolate powder 1 banana. That's about 1600 calories. I blend it in the morning and dump it in a 1.5 - 2 litre bottle and take to work. And then simply top up with cold water during the day to thin it out. Tastes quite nice after you add the extra water, otherwise it's like a thick soup! |

The 500 ml choc flavour is alot more expensive, ml for ml. As for instantised oats - MyProtein and BulkPowders sell them, for around £10 for 5 kg. However, i recently bought a blender with a mill attachment - u can just dump normal oats in and use the mill attachment for thirty secs and u get the same effect, so they're so small they practically (but not quite, unfortunately) dissolve in the liquid u put them into. Works out alot cheaper. |
