Default Suppliments

Hi all

Im currently using this 3 times a day to begin with

1.5 scps @ 6.30am

1.5 scps post weight training @ 2.30pm

and 1.5 scps at either 5pm if not doing an afternoon 30 min cardio

or after the cardio at say 7pm

Is this enough? shoul dI perhaps up the scoops to 2? Im 6ft 3 and 95kgs and am aiming to train every day during the week, with a rest day on saturday and some brief cardio on sunday

Should I also be taking a scoop or two before hitting the hay with some skimmed milk? or do I just down some casein? or both!?

any links to decent casein suppliments would be great as there are LOADS!

thanks guys.. sorry about all the q's.. im getting there though

cheers

you should be looking at the combined protein of foods as well as protein powder throughout the day. If you are looking to bulk up, at your weight you are approx 210lbs, so you should be aiming for about 250 - 300 grams of protein per day.

So given you have 4.5 scoops a day, thats approx 130 grams of protein. So you would/should have to make up the rest of the requirement from food.

It is common thinking that you treat powders as a 'supplement' only and that real foods are better protein sources, I would say that 4.5 scoops a day is about right, anything above 6 scoops and really your relying too much on powdered protein sources over food sources.

a scoop or two before hitting the hay - YES - milk will slow down the protein digestion.

cassein protein - http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powd...ium-caseinate/

cassein is better than whey in milk but i dont think its really all that important.

Casein is far far superior to milk and whey. Depends what you define as important. There is no milk sugar in casein
