Default How much protein do I need?

Hi Guys, I am training for approximately an hour, 4 times a week.
I weigh 185.6 lb & I need to lose some fat & tone up/build muscle.

I'm currently taking 'All the Whey' protein shake & with my current diet I seem to be consuming about 120 grams of protein a day!

Is this about right???
:?

You need to consume 1Gram of Protein per 1lb of bodyweight, so you need to up your intake to 185grams of protein per day.
If your wanting to put on weight which im guessing you are, you maybe wanna search the forum on "Bulking" which will involve high carb and calorie intake.

But hey everybodys different but id use the protein intake as a guideline and dont consume all your protein from protein shakes, make sure you eat good meals too, drink plenty of water remember the average person is supposed to drink 2 litres of water a day.
So you need to be alot better than average, and make sure your diet is balanced.
Take vitamin supplements if need be.

Agreed, if cutting my protein increases to 2+grams of protein per lb of bodyweight.

And as said, consume as much solid food as possible as I found this will harden you up, oh and cut out breads and dairy if you are really looking for results.

Take some cardio after training for 20 mins or so at a moderate pace too if need be.
