After switching from strength training to body building i could do with a little advice please. after years of power lifting and eating everything in sight whenever I felt like it. I decided it was time to sort me self out, as i'm not in my twenties anymore and my joints were starting to suffer. Lost 5-6 stone in a couple of years of eating about 8 small meals a day an doing shed laods of cardio, usually twice a day. I kept up my lifting, training like a bb rarther than longer rests etc. 2-3 days a week and upping protien to reduce on muscle loss. Well its time to bounce back as I know my body wants to be heavier - been doing a fair amount serious cardio last couple of weeks to try to shift last few pounds. so its back to weights and gentle cardio (walking). I still eat 8 times a day and want to gain clean lean weight. However, I have a very very slow metabolism- always have, the whole family are built like shithouses (having a butcher in the family helps) but prone to get fat with a history the family fosils getting low thyroid problems. Never had a problem bulking in the past or getting strong quick for strength purposes, but want to put some size on and keep my newfound 32inch waist - hadnt seen it since school. want to be able to add stuff to my deit thats quick easy and interesting, thats going to help me gain clean. currently my eating is something like this. 1. 30-40g oats, 30g mixed nuts and sunflower seeds, orange juice, banana, 7 egg whites.Blend it.dring it. 2. Met-rx MRP 3.two whole eggs and four eggwhites, one or two peices of fruit. 4.mackeral salad+fruit. 5. pre training. piece fruit. 6, post training MRP 7.fillet steak, broccolli, peas, salad. fruit. 8. MRP. 9(late night optional pickings) tuna and orage juice, or nuts or protien drink or mrp made with sugar free jelly and put in the freezer. about 2500-3000 KCal/day with 200g protien. One day a week I have an eat anything i want night. usually kebabs and non dairy icecream(not blended together) as i am intollerent of milky things and cheesy things. I would vary the amount of carbs every week, sometimes dropping them for a day every so-often to lose weight and keep my body guessing. Any ideas warmly recieved. cheers ![]() |
