well, it sounds like you have it pretty sorted, the only thing i would say is that its going to get old, you might want to have something as backup for variety but all in all you have the best of the basics, chicken, fish, lean red meat, whole grains, eggs...not much dairy. if you want to lose fat you have to stay on top of the carbs. cycling is good as long as youre doing it hard, its like if you walk on a flat treadmill, not much effect, set it at an incline and youre doing something. so if youre cycling is moderately intense then you should see results, but it will take time as you will burn fat from your body as a whole, not in specific sections. hope this helps a little but definately a bump for advice, maybe pm jason or opex. they seem to know about dieting for a cut.

Hi there

I'm looking to compete around September so am trying to lose a bit of bodyfat (not extreme though yet) whilst still making muscle gains.

I have a really great coach (trains a lot of champs) and my diet for last 2 weeks has been:

7.00 am, 1 scoop whey, 50grms oats with hot water

10 am, 1 tin tuna, mixed salad, 2 spoons EFAs

1pm, 200g sweet potato or 60 grms brown rice, 175g chicken

3.30pm, 1 tin tuna, mixed salad or veg

5 - 6.30 train

6.40 2 scoop whey

7.30 175g chicken/fish/ lean beef, broccoli, veggies

10.30 1scoop whey with 1 spoon efa's

In two weeks i;ve lost no weight but lost 1 and 1/2 inches from my ass, my abs are looking leaner and my legs too.

I am also drinking no coffee/tea, but around 3 litres of water a day

I'd recommend it biatch

gailx

Glad to hear your are doing well! I am still working hard in the gym and got a new job about 10 months ago - hence the reason I haven't been online for so long! Don't get much time in here to do anything but work!
I have been keeping a tight reign on my diet and shedding bodyfat too. Seems to be working and I'm sitting at around 15st at the moment. Going on holiday in 7 weeks so I have been working towards that! Mind my hot lady friend I met about a year ago? Well we are still together and are now living together too!
What kind of thing you are doing in the extreme dieting before your comp? Sounds interesting. Would like to hear more about it! Drop a mail if you get a chance. New works email is simon@thompsonmacleod.co.uk
Speak soon.
Si

Hi biatch

No probs, glad to help. I know its really hard to get advice when your female, us chiks are a wee bit different to the guys and what applys to them isn't necessarily best for us. its taken me years to find some good contacts for female b/bldg.

I note you like your eggs, instead of whey protein at b/fast, could substitute that for scrambled eggs, 2 whole eggs, 4 more whites.

I'd definitely try to cut out carbs from wheat, which means no bread/pasta, just brown rice, sweet potatoes or normal potatoes (sweet have lower GI index).

The water is a must too, flushes out all the toxins and gives skin a nicer smoother appearance.

good luck, if you want any more advice, pm me

Gail cant quite decide what ur referring to as my breakfast, i have a protien shake as brekkie 1, porridge for brekkie 2 then i have my eggs mid morning (take it, its this egg meal u r referring to?) if it is then thanx as i was never sure how many eggs i could eat at this meal.
been using wholegrain roll for my 1pm meal as its easy to make for a packed lunch for college, mind u now im on my long summer hols i will be changing to brown rice ( what sort of portion size should i have?).
ur advice is appreciated, thanx.
