Have you determined how many calories you're getting each day? Its probably one of the most important aspects of cutting.

50grams of brown rice is a decent serving but it depends on how many calories you're getting from the rest of your meals.

I can highly recommend a site called www.fitday.com - its a good way of tracking your daily calorie intake. It calculates all the macros for you and best of all, its free!

Hi Nic

I tend to have a larger breakfast in one sitting, so i'll either have protein shake with oats or eggs with oats. However, If how you structure your meals works for you, then stick at it, everyones different. But yeah, 2 whole eggs plus 4 whites is a good portion, not too much fat as only 2 yolks.

My kcal per day is around 2000, which at the moment allows me to gain some muscle mass while getting a bit leaner. I'll be dropping the kcal once I'm happy with muscle mass and want to strip more fat.

I have 60grms pre cooked weight of brown rice, or 200g of sweet potato. Sounds like you have a sweet tooth like me, so beleive it or not the sweet potato does kinda stop that craving, you may be able to ween y'self off the sugar free jelly then!!!

:shock:WAT GIVE UP MY SUGAR FREE JELLY? :shock: , OMG im slowly running out of lifes little pleasures, stopped smoking, stopped drinking, stopped eating chocolate and now ive gotta wean myself of the jelly :cry:

I don't see why you have to give up sugar free jelly. If you were going to compete then fair enough but if you're just trying to shift a bit of fat they're fine IMO.

I still have diet soda on a cut, it doesn't do me any harm

I know what you mean, I struggle with the sweet things too! I have to make my step-son hide his haribo when he leaves ours after the weekend otherwise I'd scoff the lot. I just find if I don't have anything at all, then the cravings are not so bad.

Its the artificial sweeteners that are not so good for you, your body has no function for them, but don't worry, I'm sure the jelly wont do ya any harm, ENJOY GIRL!!

Must admit to a small glass of Shiraz on saturday, another thing I really miss, and god was I pissed after it?! How sad is that!?
