Default what are 'good' calories?

Im trying to control my diet and ive been reading alot about so called 'good' calories but what exactly is a good calorie?

Any help much appreciated.

You need to be eating food with a good nutritional balance. Avoid 'empty' calories, which are generally foods with high calorific values that leave you feeling hungry after an hour of eating, such as fast food, saturated fats, high sugar foods.
