| Under Construction | Hi all, Im still trying to bulk up and aswell as creatine ive been using whey protein but when I went there the gut recommended I use a weight gain (not sure if he was just trying to shift old stock). I've got the dorian yates weight gain but not sure actually when in the day is the best time to take it. i've been told on a morning to help increase my metabolism but I dont want it turning to fat due to the fact I dont train till about 5pm. Any advice guys on whas the best time to take it? ______________________ your gonna eat lightening and your gonna crap thunder kid! |

| I don't really rate weight gainers at all. Most of the carbs they contain are in the form of simple sugars so they just make you fat. In future i would make your own. A mixture of Milk protien, oats and flax seed is ten times better than most of the weight gainers on the market and also alot cheaper. As for when to take it. I would take it in the morning when your bodies insulin sensitivity is at its highest. If you take it late on during the day it is more likely to increase bodyfat. | |

Weight gainers are best used if you can't handle the amount you need to eat or if you need a meal when you can't get a real one. IMO Whey shouldn't be used on its own, your body needs carbs if there's not enough it will use the protein for energy instead. ______________________ Benj |

| Under Construction | Thanks guys, i'll start having it first thing in the morning from now on.
