I believe carb intake is most important post training wether you are cutting or bulking as you need to replenish your dropped glycogen levels asap. On both occassions i will have 60g whey mixed with 50g glucose/dextrose powder (simple fast acting carbs) and when using creatine i throw in 5g to the mixture. When cutting the 2 most important times to get your carbs in is on rising in the morn (oats) and post workout (glucose/maltodextrin) The following meal if bulking will contain nice complex carbs such as rice with veg and chicke/tuna etc and if cutting low/zero carb meal with plenty of protein, veg etc But we are all in agreement i think that the most anabolic peroid to get the food in is definately post workout |
