Default Levothyroxine - How mucH?

Hello.

i'm new to the forum,
a while ago my doctor prescribed me levothyroxine (50 mcg) per day, it had bad side effects at first, but little by little perhaps because TSh goes low, it lost the effect! i'd like to know what is the maximum dosage that one can be given.. i'm aware of side effects and i'm trying to increase slowly. i'm also a poor metaboliser and easily gain weight though i'm not hypothyroidist, I've heard up to 200 mcg per day is ok,

Any Idea?

Levothyroxine is ineffective for weight reduction in normal thyroid patients and may cause serious or life-threatening toxicity, especially when taken with amphetamines.

i know ephedrine is an amphetamine, but what about clen? if so, then dont combine clen with levothyroxine

Hows is it that levothyroxine is ineffective?

Surely it's just the same as replacing your own thyroid hormone and then some?

A bit of a harsh statement from Nick there. I've not found any evidence of L-T4 toxicity.
The reason many find Levothyroxine (T4) ineffective, is that it has multiple interactions with other nutrients which bind to it and make un un-metabolisable (is their such a word?? ) by the body.
For maximum effect on T4 you need to take it on an empty stomach i.e- very first thing in the morning at least 30mins before you have anything else. And you also need to have a diet and exercise routine in place that activley promotes your body requiring conversion of the T4 into a more metabolically active T3. Which is something the stimulants (such as ephedrine & clen) do.

So there' no potensial for toxicity? It's good and healthy yes?

So take on an empty stomach, i hear GH makes T4 convert really well into T3, so that's taken care of.

But it is healthy right?

Is there at all an injectable form of the substances, so that the drug-metabolism issues could be avoided?

Why did he say it was toxic?
