Is it possible to gain fat quicker with no training and a poor diet, not extreme overeating, than it is to gain muscle with a sensible high protein diet and dedicated training regime? Just wondering cause I havn't been training properly for the last 4 months due to injuries and now illness. Thanks |

People have told me I look thinner and I think I look fatter. Judging from doing up my belt in the morning, my waist isn't any bigger. My legs are definently slimmer, I was on crutches for 7 weeks. I have a feeling I have put fat on, mostly on my face - where seems to be my problem area. I have been trying to get into a running routine again, but man, these winter mornings and evenings make my route into a seriously unpleasant experience. I went out last week in that thick fog, came back and discovered my hair was frozen solid!! At least it wasn't raining... But dark, and no street lights either. |

Your muscle probably will have dropped but this will come back quickly when you begin training again. Also dont worry about the look of fat gain in your face. Some of this could be water retention as you re not dehydrating yourself through training. My face looks puffy when I am not performing cardio and am training for size. Alot of it will be psycological as you know you aren't training. I dont think you need to worry as you will be back to training at some point. Running in scotland  in the winter  at night  Thats sounds bloody cold to me, I'm all the way down here in hampshire and I am glad running isn't in my routine at the moment. I like to go out running first thing in the morning before work, college whatever and it doesnt get light until 8am, thats when I start work, so that means getting out for a run about half 5, 6am. It bothers me to head out at that time in the pouring rain and pitch darkess, total motivation killer. At least when I was at college the gym I went to opened at 6. Staying at home the only gym is one at the local swimming pool, which doesnt open till half nine! |

Last Christmas I was out running in the cold and snow When I'm trimming down I go running at 6 but I couldn't do it in scotland. I've been there in the summer and I nearly froze to death J ______________________ 50% of bodybuilding is nutrition 50% of body building is not overtraining If you cant gain see the above |
