Default Creatine induced famine

help me out here. Scenario: 8pm, heavy workout in the day, just eaten 2 massive chicken breasts, a plate of tuna, 3 fried eggs and some toast. stil ravenous. Take a protein shake and a pint of tuna but 10 minutes later i'm in the kitchen fishing for anything that i can get my hands on.

I haven't experienced hunger like this before. At the moment I could eat a horse, and another one on top !

late night snacks..... what do i eat?

Default hunger

You will find this when eating alot of protein, this is what I usually get when cutting up. Its because your body is craving an energy source.

Looks like you have had too much protein in comparison to carbs/fats and you dont want your body to start using protein as an energy sorce. I know what steve means by carbs late at night (my body is used to late carbs, 11pm) but when dieting I get your problem, i usually add some peanut butter or nuts as the fat will fill you up and take a while to digest while not increasing the chance of glycogen to be stored as fat. Also, while taking in a protein/fat meal your body will learn to burn fats better.

Try drinking a lot more water. I find when I am in that situation, if I down a gallon or more per day, then my hunger seems to subside.

At night? Try a casein protein shake with milk, filling and slow absorbing.

I can see that your protein intake seems to be plentiful, but if you are bulking, keep in mind that you also need carbs and fat. I'm not saying to binge eat carbs and fat, but they need to be in healthy proportions along with your protein. That way your body has an energy source to burn instead of using protein/muscle. Use this craving for food as a help to you while bulking. Eat all you can and make this the best bulk you've ever done.
