Default Ditched the shakes.....

........I have decided to stop my protein weight gainer shakes, and use my money for food instead. I don't think I needed the extra cals from the shakes, and I think I'll benefit from just eating high protein foods instead. Does anyone else not use the protein shakes? Its saving me 80 - 100 a month! Can buy loads of food for that!
The only concern I had was that I'd miss the protein shakes straight after training, but I now have 2 eggs and a large glass of milk straight after training instead. I am just preparing loads more food and keeping it in the fridge. Preparation is the key!!!
Whats others views on dropping the protein shakes?

Hello you

If you've got time to prepare more food, I'd ditch them. It is quite expensive keeping the protien shakes going, but I like to have them at work cus I don't have time to eat! Plus, I'm keeping calories low so find shakes better for me. Theres only so much chicken a girl can take too!

Hi G,

Think its worth a try at least, and I am enjoying eating real food instead of downing the shakes. It was convenience that made me try the shakes in the first place, but whole foods are better. You feel fuller after a some pasta, eggs and tuna! Lovely combo eh. I have just taken to eating at 10am and 4pm in the office and not giving a shit if my boss says anything. He doesn't care about what I think, so its vice versa and I pull out the tuna!!
Chicken does get bland after a while eh? I am getting the same way and have been taking a shine to tuna in sunflower oil! Beats brine any day of the week!! Its nearly time to head to the gym for me! Looking forward to it tonight.

shakes are only meant to supplement your diet anyway, so if u can get everything u need in your food then great. Save urself some cash.

Not sure i could do it, im just too lazy. Shakes make it so much easier.

Watch the raw eggs aswell mate.

Aye, I thought salmonela was a risk. F*ckin' chickens! I boil mine and keep them in a sealed container in the fridge.
