Default is eating shit good

hi,

I'm very lean and muscular, trying to gain weight but I'm a hard gainer. I was told i should eat between 1000 and 3000 calories a day. Is this true??

Also, i'm eating all sorts of shit (mcdonalds, kebabs, chicken kebabs and all sorts). Is this good for someone who is tryuing to gain weight. I know its bad in the long run, but will it do the job??

I think eating things like McDonalds, Kebabs etc are really bad to try and bulk yourself up with. They contain empty calories, lots of fat and won't help you develop a good physique. Eat lots of whole foods like, brown rice, brown pasta, lean meat and fish, fruit and veg. Eat lots of the right things, and you will grow in the right places - not develop a big fat belly!!
Good luck with it tho!
3000 cals a day may well be enough for you to grow, but it may be possible that you can consume more cals a day and grow even better. Its an individual thing. The guys on here will be better at guiding on that I think.

I'm not too sure cuz I always bring food into work with me and its all prepared the night before - my rice, tuna, pasta, chicken breasts and fruit. Even my protein shakes. I end up with about 5 containers of food in with me!!
Maybe you could try a baked spud with chicken, but I would always suggest bringing in all your own food as you know what it contains and how much there is of it. It's the best way if you can do it (work allowing) otherwise, I'm not to sure. Just stay away from fried stuff, chocolate and other junk food. The other guys on the board will be able to shed more light on this for you I think. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
