Default Coffee

Is coffee something that should be avoided when on a strict diet? I have reduced the amount of tea I consume by a lot, but am now finding that I like a cup of coffee some afternoons instead. Milk and 2 sugars. Will having say, one sweet cup of coffee mid afternoon screw up my diet? Or will it not make any diff? I think it should be ok, but maybe you guys will know better than me.
cheers
Si

I dont think there is a problem with only 1 coffee a day, maybe other people will say otherwise.

Could maybe try n lower the sugars, little bit at a time. Going from coffee with two, to coffee wihout is a big step for anybody..

1 coffee a day should be fine. The caffeine may even be beneficial as it increases your metabolism to some extent.
The sugar may be a prob on a strict diet, like said above just try and cut the sugar out.
Maybe "beneficial" is going a bit far but without the sugar (or with less sugar) it should be OK

I agree with matt, but on the other hand, if you think the caffeine could be affecting you, you could always try decaff, depends Si, if you are really bothered about having a cup. Every now and again i'll have a mug of hot water and pop in a teaspoon and a half of honey, not everyones cup of tea, but i like it.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind knowing why exactly you have the honey in hot water thing.
Is it just some you have when you fancy a hot drink or do you have it for any particular reason nutrition-wise?
