I have a fast metabolism (not rocket but fast enough) and if i have one, say, a chinese buffet, i will diet the next day. It gets rid of the excess carbs and fat stored but i suppose it takes up 2 days training. I was thinking of changing it to one day a month where i eat what i want, not binging the whole day but just not being strict. What are all of your thoughts on junk days, also, would one beer a week really make a difference. I read some info on alcohol and now i am really paranoid. Thank You |

If u want to eat something you know you shouldnt, fine, eat it or dont. But actually planning a day in the week where u know ure gonna eat shit, that cant be good. As for beer, 1 a week is nothing. Im a piss can, as is my training partner. Were progressing along nicely. Everyones different i suppose. |

So why does it really matter, eating whatever once in a while is not really going to make much effect in the long run! I eat like shit all the time, aslong as your getting enough protein and carbs throughout the day so that your body doesn't go into a catabolic state, then its not really going to effect you! Now if your trying to cut, thats another matter! Drinking apparently causes eastrogen to be produced! Not too good! But IMO a couple of pints are gonna do shite all! Its when your drinking most nights or getting paraletic every weekend and messing up a days worth of eating thats when you should be getting worried! ______________________ Benj |

I'll go for a meal, but I don't blow out for the hell of it. I'll eat until i'm no longer hungry, and won't go for the three courses - that would be plain GREEEEEDY! I think its important to be a bit slacker now and then otherwise you can get really p*ssed off with it all. Training is really important to me, but hey, we all need a release now and then. ENJOY!! |

A cheat meal evary so often (when you're in Kcal defecit) will probably 'kick start' your metabolism into burning more fat as the cheat meal will 'flood' your body with carbs/fat and theoretically use these to replenish and fuel your muscles / metabolism. But to be honest, I went into Kcal defecit last summer with a keto diet and as soon as I had serious carbs/fat in the same meal I felt like twelve bags of shit that had been kicked around a car park for the afternoon - not pleasant, bloated, skinny, fat, hungry, full all at the same time. It was weird! |

I know that if i am bulking i shouldn't be so strict as i can cut up when the time comes and the idea behind adding mass is having extra cals anyway but i a damn frightened of getting fat. A couple of years ago i was obese and it was ****ing horrible so through an insane amount of cardio and a stupid calorie deficit i lost 8 stone in four months but also lost a lot of strength. Not only was it horrible being fat because of how nasty i looked at the time and how people treated me but i don't want to lose a massive amount of quality mass if i have to cut again. I suppose i may have built a little complex about being fat but my highest weight was 21stone, i was like Marlon Brandon with Biceps. Now i Maintain a lean figure while building but i have got to say, GAINS ARE SLOW! Maybe someone can help me with my complex or give me info on what body-fat percentage i can get to while bulking before hitting the breaks. |
