Good gains in bodyweight and strength. The only problem is my belly is really into this growing business aswell. Im doing no cardio or abs work, cos i really wanted to concentrate on getting big. Is there a point where your carrying too much fat so you have to stop bulking? or am i ok to keep whacking on the weight n cut up next summer? Any advice would be great. |

| Making Progress | Hi Ho lads, Steve you are spot on with that mate, but i find running will actually build up your stamina without building up your muscles. Daily jogging will increase endurance. Greater endurance will in turn help you to do more reps, will in turn get you to where you want to get to quicker, obviously with hard work in the gym, sounds crackers but i use it and it works. Dave. |

Crunches, leg raise, side twists with a broom stick Calfs are another pain in the arse, especially when they have a spasm while you're sleeping and knot up 2 miles jogging three times weekly is probably sufficient for a body builder, less if you include skipping. Was told years ago that 5 minutes skipping is worth 30 minutes jogging, I found that doing jogging with sprints then jogs and so forth is a good way to build up stamina/endurance when working the cardio vascular system. Like I more or less suggested, we use our abodminal muscles in almost everything we do, no major body part should be neglected and the idea about bulking up and allowing a layer of fat to exist belongs in caveman times... I was a wightlifter and only two yars ago weighed 56k, finding it hard to gain. Im now close to 76k and the weight gains are going nicely. I just worry about the size of my gut sometimes. Saw a pic yesterday of me on holiday from 2 years ago, couldnt believe it was me, ****in tiny!!! Im really enjoying bulking (for obvious reasons) eat all day n lift heavy n less reps. Heaven If you guys are sure i can shift this gut when im happy with my size ill continue. Never ever tried to lose weight before so it will be new to me. Cheers |
