Default Gladiators Ate Barley !

If any of you were fortunate enough to catch last week's programme on BBC2
you'll possibly remember the reference to Gladiator's staple diet consisting mainly of
Barley. Ever wondered how the Roman army swept all before it or Gladiators got the
strength to keep up intesive physical training and keep fighting week after week ?

It was probably because the main food in their diet was barley. Sadly, though, barley which has a balanced protein yield and many nutrients, has dropped out of modern diets. But now a new form of pre-sprouted barley, which has been developed in Scandanavia, has hit the U.K.

Pre-sprouted barley captures all the nutrient generation and enzymal activity of the seed just before it's about to sprout. It's then stone-ground to form a powder that yields 16 vitamins and minerals, 20 amino acids, numerous enzymes, including super oxide dismutase, known as the "anti-ageing enzyme" and both Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids.

This is the foundation for the newly released product which also includes other organic ingredients including flaxseed, billberry, tumeric barley grass, ginko biloba, carrot and apple, as well as naturally harvested kelp and spirulina.

I've disussed the possible uses of this product within bodybuilding with the Forum administrator (Steve) and he may be able to supply it at an affordable price depending on how many members express their interest.
