Default Love handles

I have trained for many years, I am now 40, at the moment I do not carry a great deal of body fat only on love handles, lower back and stomach. I am using Creatine and protien suppliments with a balance high protien diet.
I was told to cut my milk out of the protein drinks to loose the excess water and fat I am carring.
Is this correct?

Creatine will help you to put on size, if you are looking to lose excess body fat you will be wasting your money by taking it (when cutting up).

So, first off drop the creatine. Keep the Diet high in Protein and keep taking the Protein supplement.

Substitue whole milk or even semi-skimmed milk for skimmed milk (it is still high in protein) but has very little fat in it (about a trace).

To lose excess fat you need to burn more calories than you consume, so try to either exercise more frequently or do more cardio...or even both.

When I say exercise more frequently I mean 6 days a week (one body part a day or even 6 days a week two workouts a day and also cardio) this will make you burn more calories as you're been more active during the week and burning more fat. Competition bodybuilder do this before a contest and it burns loads of calories (compared with working out 3-4 times a week).

Fat is burned from all over even though you have it around your lower back and abs etc. I cant see what cutting out milk will do for you to lose excess water and fat....

Water doesnt have any calories in it, so you could try switching your protein supplement with water instead of milk, but to cut milk out to get rid of excess water????

Well there you go mate, it's a start so let us know how you get on.

You can always mix your shakes with half milk and half water - this cuts out quite a bit of fat

Bets way to go when reducing calories is to mix your protein drink with water but it doesnt taste as good as it does with milk.

When moneys short I go for my own protein powder which Ibuy skimmed milk powder and Nesquick Chocolate flavour milkshake mix and add milk, its high in protein and tastes quite nice but not with water....uuugghh.

Nesquick is full of simple sugars which wont help with weight loss, most decent protein shakes are designed to mix with water or milk and taste ok with each, also i neck it so quick i hardly taste it
