Default Cheap way of adding more protein

I noticed that powdered milk has a high amount of protein in it per pint 22grams.

I hate the tast of it but by adding a bit of nesquik it doesn't taste too bad. Obviously not as good as whey but it is a very cheap way of adding a bit of extra protein.

Does anyone else do this?

Default powdered milk

Hi mark, about 2years ago i did a bit of research into this and as well as being an excellent source of extra protein it also means that you take in more water combined with the powdered milk, i also tried slicing a banana and blending it and the shake i got was pretty good.

Yeah thats what I thought. Not saying have these instead of protein shakes but I can definately afford to have a few pints of this stuff a day with a decent shake after the gym - Ideal!

allthough the protein powders are good, your best bet is to get most of your protein from food sources, the 2 cheapest ways is eggs and tuna, and will give you much better gains than the protein drinks.

save the protein shakes for when you carnt eat any more,

Thats completely true, protein from foods are far better, also because there usually combined with carbs which helps. Eggs you gotta watch the yokes contain alot of natural cholesterol, but tuna is good but damn hard to eat when you have out away as many cans as me.

I moved on to smoked macrel and canned pilchards are both good alternatives and cheap.

Cram all that down and wash it down with a shake

I tend to use the following each morning for a kickstart to my day: -

1 scoop of Nesquick
2 scoops of Skimmed Milk Powder
1 Banana
1 cup of rolled Oats
1 tall glass of Milk

Blend together and drink....

Beans are also high in Protein and quite cheap (if looking for high protein foods that are cheap).
