Default Lose fat & gain muscle simultaneously... Is it possible?

Hi guys.
Most people recommend the cycle where you bulk up into a fattie over the winter and then cut up over the summer to get that all important chiselled look for the beach and t-shirt wearing months (or days in this country).

But is it really possible to increase muscle size AND burn off your fat at the same time so you end up maybe not as cut as going through a thorough cut up cycle, but never in the state where you've got huge biceps and chest but an equally big gut accompanying it!!

Thanks

Jav

I was wondering the same. Piled on quite a few pounds over the winder but fed up with being Fat now!

Will the ECA stack help or would that reduce the amount of muscle aswell. I have started eating healthier (still lots of it) and cut down on my fat intake.

Does anyone have any good ideas on suppliments or tips to help me get ripped for the summer?

hello mark welcome to the musclechat board,

i used a eca stack last year,it was made by nutrasport,i found this brilliant for losing the bodyfat, and maintaining the muscle,

in fact i actually think i got stronger while i was on it,

take eca and do some cardio, cut down the carbs gradually, and u should get nice and ripped for the summer

Default Try a combination

Getting rid of bodyfat is the worst thing in the world to do. I used to weigh 18st 10lbs, (lost 5 stone in 10 months!!) and its basically through 1hour of cardio that I have lost Bodyfat, combined with 1 hour of weights to maintain size. Also a diet is really important too, high protein and lower carbs. Try eating all your carbs before midday, and then move onto protein from then on.

Like Steve said that ECA stack is the best, but you do need to train cardio. I found splitting 50:50 was the best way to loose weight but maintain a good physique.

These days I train weights, with a high protein diet but I train in 3 layers of clothes so I melt the fat and take Kelp to wash it out of my system. this works, believe me it works!!

Cheers for the reply Guys. I have satrted to watch my diet more since New Year - Masses of protein a few carbs and a lot less calories than I used to eat - mainly just by eating better food - less rich sauces e.t.c..
Also started running 3-4 times a week before work (that is a killer)! Do you reccomend a pre mixed ECA stack or would it be better to take pure Eph, Pro Plus and Asprin?

By the way Good luck with the new site Steve!

firtsly welcome to the musclechat board gareth

secondly thanks mark for wishing me good luck with the new site,

ive only ever used a eca stack thats already made up,maybe gareth has tried the other sort?

i used the one made by nutrasport,i found this very effective and it had the correct dosage of caffeine, aspirin and ephedra,i think it will be very hard to get hold of now as the ephedra ban is kicking in,if u see one on ebay or another good auction site, snap it up,another good one is hydroxadrine made by ansi although it dont contain aspirin,u could always add it to it.

if u do try one u mix yourself mark, keep us posted on how u get on,

steve

Default Stacking

Cheers Steve for the friendly welcome.

I have tried the stack and it is very good to say the least, but it is MaHuang not ephedrine. I finished the stack a while ago, but I did need to do a fair amoung of cardio and weights combined to get a decent effect. I am now on pure Ephedrine tabs, 2mg each. It isnt very much, but they are very good if you can put in a good half hour of cardio and a sauna after a workout. All that heat burns the fat right off but maintains the bulk and physique.

Mixing your own is an option, but sometimes it can damage the kidneys and eat away at your stomach lining!!

Hope this helps!

By the way I found this article on the ephedra ban so I thought you might want to have a quick read if your interested!

Default Sweating

I was slightly concerned to see a few people state that wearing multiple layers of clothing helps burn fat: Can i just point out training wearing multiple layers of clothes is perfectly fine if you want to sweat but firstly make sure you drink more water and secondly it is actually only water you are losing NOT FAT! This is a big myth. Obviously you will be lighter and may seem thinner immediately after training this way but you have just shed large amount of water from your body that is all. And you will soon put all that fluid back in there.

Burning fat is all about using up more calories than you take in. If you eat more calories than your body uses throughout the day, these additional calories will be stored as body fat. To prevent a build up of body fat you need to either reduce your calorie intake or increase your daily activity levels - doing both will have the best effect on reducing body fat. The more fat you want to lose then the greater the amount of calories you have to burn off. This means exercise!. Regular workouts, tied with a healthy balanced diet is the best way to work off that fat. Also drink plent of water and i mean plenty: 2-3litres per day this helps your metabolism and bodily function work properly.

Also the best time to do cardio is first thing in the morning before you eat - you will burn more body fat at this time of the day than at any other point due to the fact that your body regulates its metobolism based on what you do in the first few hours of waking. This has been the biggest factor in my own training and i have shed over 10% body fat in the past 3-4 months.

Eat small amount of food regulary every 2-3 hours rather than large meals. As people have said carbs in the day and protein at night. Also you will still need small amounts of good fat in your diet in the form of monounsaturates (olive oil, fish, salmon, nuts etc) to help transport vitamins and minerals and other complex bodily functions.

Also be strict with yourself and think of the benefits....it will be worth it in the long run.

Anyway hope this helps...

All the best bodyfat fighters.

and remember. PAIN HEALS, CHICKS DIG SCARS, AND GLORY LASTS FOREVER.

I run a pre-made stack called eph+25, ephedrine, caffiene, aspirin and narnegin (grapefruit extract supposed to be a catalyst?)

Its very good and has good doses of each.
