Default UFC in Manchester in April

Hi,

Is anyone going to the competition? I would love to but found the tickets had sold out in the price range I would pay.

I went to UFC 38 at the Albert hall in London and it was fantastic to see the whole thing live! I will get this one on pay per view though.

Hanne

PS I am still in awe of Rady winning in UFC68. It was a great and very smart fight from the "old man".

Thanks, but I will be at work. If I could have got a ticket around £100-150 I would have gone. I went to UFC38 held at the Royla Albert Hall in London and paid £100 for really good seats.

I wanted to go to this but it was the same weekend as FIBO and I had to go there due to work commitments, I really wanted to see Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic fight but its possibly just as well I didn't go, Mirko got knocked out with a head kick he would have been proud of himself - it was a cracker and this link will show you the action .

Mike Bisping won after a worrying spell, Andre Arlovski beat Fabricio Werdum (Mirko Cro Cops Ju Jitsu coach) in an uneventfull fight where neither man was prepared to go for it 100%. All the fights can be seen on You Tube.

UFC will overtake boxing as the number 1 fightsport in the UK in no time, there are upsets and explosive action which is not to be found in regular boxing anymore - my opinion of course.

ufc will never be anywhere near as big as boxing either in uk or worldwide...not in our lifetime anyway....can you see chuck liddell or randy couture being paid 25 million for one fight the way the top names in boxing can command....ufc is money orientated which is why there is now a ufc show every month as opposed to before when there was 2 or 3 per year....pride is the better organisation but unfortunately there best fighters are going over to ufc because its where the money is at...but it wont last....the downfall will be these ridiculous reality tv shows

i was at ufc 70 and the truth is it was a big let down, too many strikers on the same show meant it was mostly boring stand off fights with neither participant willing to commit themself, which is often the outcome when you have 2 strikers together....mike bisping got the job done but would have been submitted by a better fitter opponent...crocop looked too nervous and apprehensive...arlovski,well he was just arlovski, one minute a world beater, next minute a very average fighter.
apart from bisping the show was a disappointment overall.
