Default Peppercorns - Salt/Sodium?

does anyone know if peppercorns contain sodium???

from what i can find after a quick google search it seems not but does anyone else have more info?

The best info i can find is that 100g of black pepper has 5mg of sodium, which is obviously negligible but i dont always trust info from the internet!

hmmm... 2mg sodium per 4g aint too bad, considering the most that someone would probably use daily would be about 1g.

also the values can differ - im looking for nutrient/mineral profile of mixed pepperCORNS (pre grinding).. whereas actual ground pepper can still have extra things in depending on the manufacturer.

whos next to solve my riddle?

mate of mine is dieting, he has been adding ground peppercorns to his food whilst cooking.... last few days he has smoothed out a little, theres a few reasons why this could be.. i dont think the peppercorns are causing the problem to be honest but id rather look into it and rule it out now rather than face the same problem in 6-7 weeks time when water manipulation is going to be an issue for him!

Hmmm.Best cut them out then, just to be on the safe side. What else could be the culprit?

stress, gear, dodgy arimidex, too tired... loooong list lol

im inclined to tell him to just leave them in for a bit longer - hes been having them for about a week with no probs.. if it was sodium with the 6 litres a day of water hes taking in id have thought it would have happened straight away!
