Currently in order to keep a 'level playing field' alot of athletes are having to use Performance Enhancing Drugs so they don't get left behind and get affected financially (Pro footballers with injuries, Rugby players, Olympians) Of the same number who do take I'd place a small bet on the fact were they not competing they wouldn't choose to take AAS / other performance enhancers.
